There is little difference between a single and a twin when both engies operate as advertised.  The problems are encountered when an engine fails.  Flying a multi-engine aircraft requires sound training and diligent adherence to procedures to keep the airplane flying straight ahead and coaxing needed performance from the crippled aircraft.

Snohomish Flying Service's Multi-Engine training is conducted in a 1959 Piper Apache (PA23-160).  The aircraft has been upgraded substantially from the original design with dual vacuum pumps, dual generators, and digital tachometers.  In the following paragraphs you will learn what to expect from the multi-engine course and how to succeed in becoming a proficent multi-engine pilot!
